just some stuff while i'm studying...

well i'm sitting in eastern's library with my kids, (who are acting amazing by the way) and i have not blogged about the half marathon yet. the main reason is that i'm waiting on the professional pictures so i can add them to the blog. another is that it's dead week and that means at eastern that you will want to die there is so much due this week. anyway, the race was really an amazing thing for me. i cried a couple of times during the race, especially at the finish line when i realized i had accomplished something i never thought in a million years i would do. a friend in chattanooga told me that i'll either love it or hate it. well, i don't hate it...

anyway, here's a picture of the two amazing ladies i ran with. we've been training since i got back and they've gotten me past some rought spots. who knew running could be so therepuetic. we came to school on monday with out t-shirts (because it is always about the tee shirt) and our medals. what's funny is all the students in school said,"Did you win Mrs. Martin, or what did you place?" yeah, we won. more than i could have imagined. i value there friendship and we plan on running a few more races together this summer. who knows, maybe i'll qualify for the Boston or New York someday...
anyway, i'll blog about all the details of the race when the pictures come in. it will be like a documentary only it won't be about anybody famous. like a VH1 special on gary coleman or something like that.
hey teachers, testings over tomorrow!!!!!! WOOOOOOO!~!!

We have two comments for this post:

1.) We are so proud of you!! You've come so far and worked so hard! YAY for your first mini-marathon completion!!

2.) We think it is really funny that your post says, about you and the two women you run with, "we came to school on monday ith out t-shirts...and our medals." Haha. We're not sure that follows dress code...

We love you!! =)
